Welcome everyone…

It gives me great pleasure to warmly welcome you to Thomas Hickman School.

My name is Pippa Brand-Benee and I am the proud Headteacher of this thriving Primary school. Whether it’s the warm welcome you receive at reception, or the glimpse of our happy children - as soon as  you walk through our gates you will clearly see that Thomas Hickman is a place where everyone is valued: there are no outsiders here!

Our BIRDS vision was devised to support a diverse school community where everyone has the opportunity to explore and develop their own personal strengths and participate in new experiences. Our aim is to be an inspirational school creating good people -  good citizens of the future -  in an atmosphere that promotes confidence, high academic achievement, prime physical health and resilient emotional well-being.

 And if I haven’t made it clear already, our dedicated and committed team of staff and governors are here for one reason and one reason only, that is to better the outcomes of each unique child (or unique BIRD as we refer to them) who attend THS; they are the important people who are treasured, valued, loved and respected (it is their school after all). If I was 9, I’d love to be a pupil here!
