My name is Pippa Brand-Benee and I am the proud Headteacher of this thriving Primary school. Whether it’s the warm welcome you receive at reception, or the glimpse of our happy children - as soon as  you walk through our gates you will clearly see that Thomas Hickman is a place where everyone is valued: there are no outsiders here!

School Closure Notice

Following the Met Office Red Warning and discussions with local Headteachers, Thomas Hickman School will close at 1:30pm on Tuesday 23rd June.

The school will reopen on Friday 26th June and operate as normal.

The Southend trip will go ahead on Friday as planned, departing at 7:15am.

Learning activities will be available on Google Classroom during the closure.

We appreciate the inconvenience this may cause, but the safety and wellbeing of our pupils and staff must come first.
